Ross Patterson invited the members of the Southern Indian Draft
Horse and Mule Association along with some of his other friends down to the Crawdad Hole in Fordsville, Ky. for a wagon ride over the Labor Day weekend.
The Crawdad Hole is a private campsite owned by Rudy Woosley who allows his friends to use the camp whenever they desire. The weather in the weeks leading
up to the holiday had been very hot, but it was much cooler and comfortable over the holiday weekend. We had 6 wagons on Friday and added 2 more on Saturday.
The plan was to only ride on Friday and Saturday so it was fortunate that the rain held off until late Saturday night after the scheduled rides were complete. Ross
and Sandra had some great plans for food with several types of grilled pork for the Saturday evening meal. Things got kind of wild on Saturday night with a DJ
playing some old country hits which actvated the dancers in the crowd. I think everyone had a great time and I know I look forward to the next get together!!
